India’s victory in CWC – 2011 was not about the skills of individuals but more of playing for each other as one. With Indian cricket team gladdening our hearts with their show of unity & the team spirit; it is time for rest of us to do something for our fellow human beings.
A report in Hindustan Times of April 3, 2011 has informed that our city is falling short of 85000 units of blood, the most vital essence of our life. It is the moment for us to rise as a team to face this challenge and contribute the serum of life to eradicate this shortage.
Hence, the volunteers of Think Beyond are holding a Blood Donation Camp on 17th April 2011 at the Rodas Banquets, Powai, in aid of Thalassaemia patients – mostly the little children, who need blood transfusion every 7-15 days.
Kahlil Gibran had said about giving:
You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
So this is an appeal to all the residents of Powai:
Remember, a simple act of blood donation requires few moments of your holiday, a fraction of the buffer blood you possess and yet you are able to contribute to the lives of three human beings - A Thalassaemia patient, A cancer patient and a burns/ accident/surgery case.
Please Donate Blood…
